The Communality is a place where experiences and recommendations on healing histamine intolerance, mast cell issues, and other related chronic conditions are shared. We believe in the power of community to help people gain better insights into managing their conditions and live a better life through diet and supplements.

Our beta platform will be launching soon. Stay tuned!

All the information provided on this site has been obtained from my own experiences as well as the learning from others suffering from histamine intolerance. I am not a medical doctor or a nutritionist. Before undertaking any new protocol, please consult with your doctor.

I’m Samia, Chief Visionary of this little initiative. I’ve lived in a bunch of different countries (8 and counting…), worked a bunch of years in technology and finance, and spent the majority of my life completely dumbfounded by my bizarre and seemingly unrelated set of symptoms, recently diagnosed as mast cell activation disorder. When I started getting chronic migraines five years ago, I refused to simply accept that genetics was the root cause of my issue and submit to a lifetime of prescription migraine medication (none of which worked on me). That’s when I  began exploring natural alternatives and came across a community of others suffering from histamine intolerance and other gut related issues who were all teaching one another what they knew. I have found food to the greatest medicine and while I am *immensely* grateful for modern medicine and pharmaceutical advancements, I truly believe that empowering yourself to take control of your health involves eating the foods that are right for you.

Last year, my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I left my career in finance and, in my quest to find the right foods and natural solutions to complement his treatment protocol, I started the Communality. He too, suffered from gut related issues as a side-effect from chemotherapy and we couldn’t find a definitive a guide for what he should eat. There was too much information on the internet, many of which was conflicting, and it was a challenge to find the right nutritionist.

The Communality is a platform for people who believe in improving their health through food, supplements and strengthening the mind/body connection. I’m starting with histamine intolerance and mast cell activation disorder because it’s something that I’ve lived and breathed but I hope to gradually grow the platform to other related illnesses. Through my experience, I have connected with people who have healed themselves yet continue to engage with the rest of the community to share what they know and pay it forward. If that isn’t humanity at its best, I don’t know what is.
